A faster loading website is not better only from a search engine optimisation perspective but it is also more user-friendly and can definitely drive more conversions/sales to your products or services. Here are some tips to make your site load faster and get higher positions in Google:
1. Carefully choose your hosting provider
Although you can easily get decent hosting for incredible prices like $2/month, you will probably not get the quality you might be looking for. There are many shared hosting services offering great packages for lower prices and as well, for those with bigger pockets a VPS or dedicated server can be an option. Just make sure you are reading some reviews before opting for a hosting provider.
2. Less plugins, faster website
If you have a website built on the WordPress platform, using many plugins can definitely slow it down so try to keep their numbers as low as possible. Moreover, if you have plugins that are disabled you would better remove them and install only when you need them.
3. Optimised and compacted images
